The Pincushion plant (Leucospermum) is a natural wonder. Each bloom is an orb of uncountable tiny flowers, each with eir own bright, shiny pistil. How can ey exist with eir seamstress-worthy ribbon petals (actually tepals), and eir orbiting stigmas? Here is an homage in paint and pressure. I’m grateful to share a time and planet with you.
